Current Research:

Piper is currently researching eighteenth-century intersections of Science and Literature. She is taking a cultural studies approach in examining early scientific representations of reproduction and the female body. Her teaching interests include the use of projects like service learning and blogging to extend the work of the composition classroom into the public sphere.
