Civil War Novels Set in the 20th Century and After
This category seems at first like a contradiction in terms, but many 20th- and 21st-century novels make use of the persistent memory of the Civil War in family traditions, cultural activities, and hobbies like re-enacting and collectibles to develop intriguing settings for fiction. Occasionally time travel back to the 1860s is a feature of such novels.
