Dickinson Criticism 1992
- Cameron, Sharon. Choosing Not Choosing: Dickinson's Fascicles. Chicago: U of Chicago Press, 1992. Fascicles, not individual poems, are the units of Dickinson's intention. Alternatives and shifting contexts across and within those fascicles set up a complex web of deliberate indeterminacy. Impeccable scholarship along lines first suggested by Miller (1968) but with an entirely opposite theoretical approach. See Cameron's 1998 essay on the fascicles for a condensation, with further theoretical thoughts.
- Farr, Judith. The Passion of Emily Dickinson. Cambridge, MA: Harvard University Press, 1992. ED's relation to her cultural context, particularly its art. A major contextual study. [Author formerly named Judith Banzer].
