An Ortiz Bibliography
"Living and writing evolve as I continue to live and write.
I am most conscious of my life as a journey, and what I write is a map that comes
about every moment for me."---Simon Ortiz After and Before the Lightning
Although Simon Ortiz is examined here, primarily as a poet, he has written
extensively in other genres. Therefore, this bibliography is divided into several
categories and those categories listed chronologically. If you don't see what you
are looking for immediately; keep scrolling! Ortiz occasionally writes in a
combination of prose and verse; those works have been included under poetry and a notation
made. Where possible, links to images of and brief annotations about the works are
provided. This bibliography owes much of it's information to the Native American Authors Project
at the Internet Public Library.
