How to Avoid Out-of-State Tuition!

Because of various university policies, you must be concerned about the number of classes that you drop.

If you entered Fall 2006, or later, you only have a 30-hour cushion. Transfer students must remember that this requirement applies to all credit hours attempted at any publicly-funded Texas institution, including courses with a grade of D, F, or W as well as courses serving as a grade replacement and courses that have been grade replaced or grade excluded. (Credit hours earned at a private or an out-of-state institution are not counted toward the limit. Some other exceptions may apply.)

Therefore, you may not have any room to take anything but required courses and you may have to pass every course that you take.
