Canto 81
Geoffrey Gatza
the poet is blinded by eternal beauty only to have it wander away
When Plato calls on the listener he chooses to hold our hand
into the world: again, I leave this ethereal high and lonely melody
then the material of verse will shift under the notion of a Republic
as the keystone in a roman arch, a dreamer visionary former king
contained, condensed, compressed; reappearing earthly images
back beyond the Polis, the polites, the citizen bring to the whole

Sing in their high and lonely melody, a greek chorus echoing
bound by the drawing near for songs to hear the strange things said
Lois it's 9:50 PM and I am going to be late again it seems
but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, bright hearts
of those long dead surrounding the real and the myth of old
through this insight is a clear example to demonstrate the master
Canto 83
Geoffrey Gatza
the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law,
They hated me without a cause from the beginning

bound by the drawing near for songs to hear the strange things said
back beyond the Polis, the polites, the citizen can bring the whole

then the material of verse will shift under the Republic of the real
Lois it's 9:50 PM and I am going to be late again it seems

The whole belongs to the forming of many under open raining skies
       through this example

the poet is blind in the face of beauty only to have it wander away

as the keystone in a roman arch, a dreamer visionary former king

surrounding the real and the myth of old, here we have a Superman
contained, condensed, compressed; reappearing earthly images

don't keep my dinner warm, this ethereal high and lonely melody

Sing in their high and lonely melody, a greek chorus echoing
Canto 84
Geoffrey Gatza
the listener prefers to hold hands
the material of verse will wear it seems

     through this insight
is a clear example of the keystone

     echoing
     reappearing earthly images

     the real
     bound by the drawing
     this maze

     of bright hearts
     back beyond the Polis,
     the whole

the poet wanders away

blind by beauty
