Virginia Face Poem
Jeffrey Harrison
sensation froze his
her face the face
Virginia's face
thin, very
little nose
eyes were
Her face
words, and
her perch
tomorrow, the
spitting blood,
There, too,
Now drop
dark as air
but did
but she
face, and
her hand
horizon
most remote
all within
ground, exile
the stairs &
and solitude;
chamber, to
nary modern
order me
robe of sky-
hair. She had
night-dark-
carcasses,
worm-eaten
songs and
refrain
darkness
day and
breadth
