SUMMARY:India Unveiled exhibit - photos by Robert Arnett
DESCRIPTION:
The exhibit in the Central Library's sixth floor
Parlor features 35 photographs by photographer/author
 Robert Arnett and highlights the
diversity of India and its various regions. Over
a span of 19 months Arnett lived with several
Indian families in order to study art, culture,
and religion. The resulting book "India
Unveiled" is the source material for the photos.
The photos are on display until January
5, 2013, and the exhibit is free and open to
 all. \n
 \n
The exhibit was donated to UT Arlington
by Arnett in early 2008 following the collaboration
of donors who paid to have the photos
printed, matted and framed, according to
Dr. Nilakshi Veerabathina, Lecturer in the
Physics Department, who was involved with bring
the exhibit to campus. The exhibit is sponsored
locally by ZeOmega, by the Indian American
Education Foundation, and the UT Arlington
 Hindu Student Council.\n
