Maintaining NASA's Aircraft Fleet

The College of Engineering and the Arlington Technology Association welcome Gary Ash, branch chief of aircraft maintenance at the NASA Johnson Space Center. The JSC operates a fleet of over 40 unique aircraft - from high altitude research jets to the Boeing 747 that ferries 225,000-pound space shuttles from California to Florida. In this presentation, Mr. Ash, who holds BSAE and MSAE degrees from UT Arlington,describes the engineering challenges in maintaining so many different aircraft. Everyone welcome.
