  Maintaining NASA's Aircraft Fleet  
(Lectures/Talks)

The College of Engineering and the Arlington Technology Association welcome Gary Ash, branch chief of aircraft maintenance at the NASA Johnson Space Center. The JSC operates a fleet of over 40 unique aircraft - from high altitude research jets to the Boeing 747 that ferries 225,000-pound space shuttles from California to Florida. In this presentation, Mr. Ash, who holds BSAE and MSAE degrees from UT Arlington,describes the engineering challenges in maintaining so many different aircraft.
