  Anthropology, Medicine and the Female Genital Body: Dr. Labuski  
(Lectures/Talks)

Christine Labuski is a feminist anthropologist whose work focuses most broadly on the bio-cultural body, and most specifically on how bodies articulate with discourses of gender, sexuality and nature. Her re-search interests include feminist and queer theory, neuroanthropology, sexual medicine, popular culture, and science studies. Before receiving her PhD from the University of Texas at Austin, she earned both a B.S. and an M.S. in nursing, and worked as a gynecological nurse practitioner for over fifteen years.
