GradFest '12

The day begins with a Graduate and Professional School Fair in the Palo Duro Lounge and Concho room of the E.H. Hereford University Center (UC) from 10a.m. to 2p.m. In addition to UT Arlington faculty and staff, there will be representatives from various graduate and professional schools from across the country. From 11:00a.m. to 11:45a.m., UT Arlington representatives will participate in round-table discussions that focus on Funding, Admissions, and Career Services. The round-table event will be followed by a graduate alumni and current graduate student panel discussion about Expectations, Opportunities, and Tips for Success in Graduate School that will take place from noon to 1:30p.m. on the upper level of the UC. Free food will be available. Also, Princton Review will offer a Free GMAT computer practice tests and a GMAT strategy workshop from 2p.m. to 6p.m. in the Business Building room 349, while Kaplan Test Prep will be offering a Free GRE computer pratice tests and a GRE strategy workshop from 2p.m. to 5p.m. in the Business Building room 339. Registration is required for both Test Prep sessions as space is limited. A panel discussion on the value of early undergraduate research will be available from 3:30p.m. to 5p.m. on the upper level of the UC. To end the day's festivities, the Graduate Student Senate (GSS) will host a Graduate Student/Faculty Mixer following The Value of Early Undergraduate Research panel discussion from 5p.m. to 7p.m. on the upper level of the UC. The mixer is open to GradFest participants wanting to connect with faculty. Hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be provided.
