The Texas Tradition Chorus is a women's chorus that performs a capella four-part barbershop harmony. The current group was established in 2007, and under the direction of Lynda Gouker they have performed at many community events, including Burleson's Founders Day, Red Stegall's Cowboy Roundup, Christmas in Sundance Square, parades, Christmas tree lightings, business expos and festivals. They've also performed the National Anthem several times for the Fort Worth Cats Baseball team at LaGrave Field.
Texas Tradition Chorus members are from all walks of life and range in age from young adult to senior citizens. The group rehearses in Burleson and the members hail from Tarrant and Johnson counties. Under Gouker's leadership, the Texas Tradition Chorus has grown from 4 original members to over 30. The Chorus sings everything from Beatles to Broadway; Gospel to Jazz. The program will be followed by a reception.
