Dr. Ramon E. Lopez, a UTA physics professor and a member of the leadership team developing the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), will provide an overview of their development. His talk will provide a history of the NGSS, a status update, and some insights into how engineering content and practices are being addressed in the document.
