Pulitzer Prize winning author and UT professor Glenn Frankel discusses his best-selling book The Searchers: The Making of an American Legend. Frankel analyzes the film The Searchers from 1956, which is loosely based on the life of Cynthia Ann Parker, who was captured by Comanches in 1836 and remained with them for 24 years before being discovered and returned to Anglo society.
