Summer Movies

UT Arlington presents free outdoor movies on Thursdays at 9 p.m. beginning on June 5 (excluding July 3). Students, faculty/staff, alumni and community members are welcomed. Check out the titles you missed in the cinema or enjoy them all over again with pre-home release movies. Before you can rent or buy it, EXCEL brings your favorite hit movies to the big screen on campus.

Complimentary popcorn while supplies last; other concessions for sale. Children and youth under 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Disney’s Muppets Most Wanted takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais. The film stars Tina Fey as Nadya, a feisty prison guard, and Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon.

When a massive moving truck pulls into the driveway next door, the bleary-eyed pair grow excited at the prospect of getting new neighbors. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading king's successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora.
