Mr. Kapil Adhikari

Kapil is a graduate student working for his Ph. D. degree. His dissertation is in the area of electronic structures of SiC nanotubes.
 

Kazi Alam

Mr. Kazi Alam

Kazi received his M.S. in Physics in 2008. His M.S. thesis is entitled, "Silicon Carbide Nanotubes: Promises Beyond Carbon Nanotubes.
 

Dr. Raymond Atta-Fynn

Dr. Fynn was a post-doctoral fellow for three years working on the surface electronic structures of actinide metals. He is currently a research scientist in Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.

Molly Averitte

Ms. Molly Averitte

Molly Averitte was a degreed undergraduate working on computational electronic structure studies of solids and surfaces.

Ms. Stephanie Bell Stephanie  was an undergraduate research assistant in the group.

Haoliang is a graduate student working for his Ph. D. degree. His dissertation is in the area of silicon nanotubes.

Sarah Duesman

Ms. Sarah Duesman

Sarah is a graduate student working on computational studies of nanostructures, specifically silicon-germanium nanoclusters.

Pratik Dholabhai

Mr. Pratik Dholabhai

Pratik  received his M.S. degree in Physics in August 2005. His thesis title was “On the Behavior of 5f Electrons”  He received his Ph.D. degree in 2008. His dissertation title was "Probing the 5f Electrons: A Relativistic DFT Study of Americium Surfaces. He is currently a post-doctoral fellow at Brookhaven National Laboratory.

Ms. Kinjal Gandha

Kinjal was a graduate student in the group.

Da Gao

Dr. Da Gao

Dr. Gao was a post-doctoral fellow in the group working on actinide surface chemistry and physics. He is currently a research scientist in St. Paul, Minnesota.
 

Dr. H. R. Gong

Dr. Gong was a post-doctoral fellow in the group during the academic year 2004-2005.  His research involved actinide surface chemistry and physics.

Ashley was an undergraduate student assistant in the group.

Sarah is a LSAMP-BD doctoral fellow and is working on the magnetic structures of the actinides and their compounds.

Dr. M. N. Huda

Rana received his Ph.D. degree in Physics in December 2004.  His dissertation title was “A Relativistic Density Functional Study of the Role of 5f Electrons in Atomic and Molecular Adsorptions on Actinide Surfaces”  Dr. Huda is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at UTA.

Dr. F. Islam

Dr. F. Islam was a post-doctoral fellow in the group, working on the surface electronic behavior of actinide metals. He is currently a post-doctoral fellow in Uppsala, Sweden.

Dr. Jianguang

Dr. Jianguang

Dr. Jianguang is a post-doctoral fellow working on bulk and surface electronic structures of the actinides and also on molecular adsorptions on actinide surfaces.

Namrata Kohli

Ms. Namrata Kohli

Ms. Namrata Kohli was an undergraduate research assistant in the spring, ’09 semester. She helped in the research on actinides and graduated in May, 2009.

Sridevi Lalgudi

Sridevi received her M.S. degree in Physics in August 2005.  Her thesis title was “On a Class of ABCS”.

Michael received his M.S. degree in August 2003. His thesis title was “A Many Body Perturbation Theoretic Study of Atomic Oxygen and Aluminum Chemisorption on GaAs (100) (2x1) and b (4x2) Surfaces”

Ms. Dayla Morrison

Dayla is a graduate student working for her Ph. D. degree. Her dissertation in the area of the electronic structures of the actinides.

 

Ms. Shafaq Moten

Shafaq was a graduate student working for her Ph. D. degree. Her dissertation is in the area of atomic and molecular adsorptions on actinide surfaces.

Souptik was a graduate student and receieved his M.S. in Physics in 2008. His thesis title was "Can Silicon Carbide Nanotubes be Effective Medium for Hydrogen Storage?"

Aravind received his  M.S. degree in December 2005.  His thesis title was “On the Existence and Stability of Carbon-Based Silicon Fullerenes: A Density Functional Theoretic Study”
