D. Boyea, PhD (Rice University, 2006), is an Assistant Professor of
Political Science at the University of Texas at Arlington. He specializes in the study of judicial
politics, state politics, and elections.
His research on state supreme courts has been published in the American Journal of Political Science,
Social Science Quarterly, and American Politics Research.
