Staying in the Language

Description

Friday, June 20 3:15-5:15 pm

This workshop will provide participants with ways to get fluent but possibly rusty speakers and understanders talking at length in the target language for documentation and revitalization. Being able to sustain talk in a language, whether in conversation, personal narrative, traditional story, and other speech situations is a major goal for language learners and a mark of language viability. Sustained talk is the data basic to linguistic analysis.
