Teaching Materials for Indigenous Languages


Description

Location: Business Building 139
Week 1: Tuesday, June 17-Friday, June 20
Period 2: 10:15-11:45 am

In this workshop, participants are introduced to a variety of materials that can be developed to support classroom teaching of endangered indigenous languages. We will explore both high- and low-tech ways of achieving lesson outcomes, including how various software programs can meet language-teaching needs. Instructors will also demonstrate technological tools that can be used to create pedagogical aids that foster communicative competence.
