Teaching Methods for Indigenous Languages


Description

Location: Business Building 139
Week 2: Tuesday, June 24-Friday, June 27
Period 2: 10:15-11:45 am

This workshop will introduce methods/approaches for teaching endangered languages that take into consideration concerns that are unique to revitalization efforts. We will explore different ways to design and implement language teaching sessions to support learners’ developing communication skills. Though a variety of practical exercises, we will explore how to use available documentation and resources to enhance learning opportunities.
