Margaret Florey


Margaret Florey is a co-founder and is Senior Linguist and Managing Director of the Resource Network for Linguistic Diversity. She was awarded a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa in 1990. Margaret is an experienced field linguist with particular expertise in the endangered Austronesian languages of Central Maluku, eastern Indonesia, and Australian languages of Western Australia. In her current role, Margaret created the Documenting and Revitalising Indigenous Languages training program, which delivers grassroots training across Australia to Aboriginal people in family groups, communities and Indigenous organisations.
