Verna Stutzman, MA-Linguistics, MAC, LPC is the International Dictionary and Lexicography Services Coordinator at SIL International. She worked in Papua New Guinea as a Bible Translator and Linguistics Consultant from 1987 to 1995. From 1995 until 2005, she worked as a Language Software Developer and Lexicography Trainer using LinguaLinks as the platform. She worked as a Professional Counselor from 2005 until June 2012, when she was asked to develop a new Dictionary and Lexicography Service unit for SIL International. She oversees the advance of Rapid Word Collection workshops ( around the world, the online publication of dictionaries on, and a team of lexical data conversion specialists who facilitate the transfer of lexical data into a format that is compatible with FLEx for the purpose of publishing on
