I am a cultural anthropologist and historian with a research focus on globalization processes in the contexts of India and the Indian Diaspora in the U.S.

My research on India has three strands: One strand explores media, including print culture and the Internet. The next strand develops my interest in Gandhi in relation to representation and material culture. The third strand builds on the intersection of science, technology and society.
