Research Interests
(1) I am primarily interested in (1) the role of adaptation in both genomic and whole organism contexts and (2) the characterization of evolutionary relationships within certain taxonomic groups. To address questions related to these topics, I employ methods that span the disciplines of systematics, population genetics, genomics, physiology, and ecology. Most of my research has focused on frogs and snakes but I have also worked with insects and birds. In the Fujita lab I am working on several projects that explore genomic variability across the geographic distribution of select amphibian and reptile species. When not in the lab, museum, or field I enjoy playing and recording rock and bluegrass music.
