Research Interests

My research goals and interests focus on understanding the evolutionary genetic and genomic processes affecting diversification in reptiles and amphibians by harnessing emerging phylogenetic, population genetic, and coalescent-based methods to analyze data collected using contemporary genome technologies and resources.  My lab endeavors to integrate field work, computational genomics, and local as well as international collaborations.  We currently have three major foci: Systematics of reptiles and amphibians, Isochore evolution in vertebrates, and Genome evolution in parthenogenetic lizards.
