Investigating the evolution of organismal and genomic characteristics often requires a solid phylogenetic framework.  An important aspect of our research is to identify and quantify biodiversity in reptiles and amphibians, infer their evolutionary history, and understand the processes that have contributed to lineage divergence.

Our lab has three major research agendas (click for more information):

(1) Discovering the patterns and processes of biodiversity in reptiles and amphibians

(2) Quantifying the genome dynamics and consequences of hybrid, parthenogenetic lizards

(3) Identifying the processes that contribute to genome structure in reptiles
