The SURGE Program in the Department of Mathematics at UT Arlington supports selected undergraduate mathematics majors through scholarships, mentoring, and activities to facilitate students’ undergraduate studies, build their understanding of the mathematical profession beyond coursework, and enhance their preparedness for the workforce and for graduate school. The SURGE Program is funded by the National Science Foundation and is managed by Professors Aktosun, Gornet, Kojouharov, Shipman, and Zhu in the Department of Mathematics.
