electronic versions of your spread-sheet and time line.

prepared a basic outline for your second country--be prepared to

By Tues., Oct. 6, add the Freedom
House and Fitzgibbon data to your data set. Insert a column
for the mean values as indicated. Run a correlation between
CPI Mean and Failed States Index Mean.

Final Exam, read the remaining chapters in both books (Millet and
Smith). Be prepared to discuss any Latin American country of
your choice with regards to:

description, facts, and the like related to overviews of regime
change, revolutions, human rights, coups, repression, insurrections,
political violence, extra-constitutional change, and the like

Factors
explaining any critical events, qualitative changes, and general
trends
