Program Description
Public Administration is concerned with the formulation, analysis and implementation of public policy in urban institutions. With an interdisciplinary focus, this program gives special emphasis to the urban community and the special challenges of public managers who serve in urban areas. The curriculum is designed to develop leadership capacity, understanding of the political, social and economic characteristics of today's urban environment and the ability to apply current theories of management and analysis to difficult management issues.

All of our MPA programs, (traditional on-campus, online, and the Fort Worth Center MPA Cohort) are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration.
The 39-hour MPA Cohort program is tailored to working professionals by offering both a lock-step schedule and accelerated 5 week courses. At this pace, you can complete the degree in just 24 months. MPA Cohort students will progress through the entire program together. It is a unique opportunity to collaborate and network with fellow students in your industry. The strengths and advantages of the MPA Cohort Program are well worth the time spent in the classroom. Classes meet through the program on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6-10 p.m.
