The presentation will introduce renewable energy in general and explain what solar cell technology is all about. Students can understand how the solar cell works and learn what scientists and engineers are doing in order to make more efficient solar cells that will benefit everybody on earth. This presentation will teach students the value of sustainability through the use of clean energy and motivate them to learn more about science and technology. The session could include a demonstration of real solar cell devices. NOTE: This session is limited to no more than 50 students for one-hour lecture. If hands-on experiments with real solar cells are preferred, the one-hour session is limited to 15 students. Most appropriate to students in the 4th grade and up.
