Drawing a Living
This lecture addresses the role of drawing as a critical thinking tool. In the practice of architecture, the first creative act begins with a sketch. The power to imagine and draw a building, environment, landscape, or city is crucial as a means to convey architectural ideas. Architects make their living by drawing the un-built. A historical review of architectural drawings, paintings, and sketches will present how architects have envisioned new spatial ideas and forms.
