Surgical Simulation at UT Arlington
The need for training surgical residents to perform complex Laparoscopic surgeries will be introduced. The importance of using virtual reality based training will be discussed. Examples of actual trainers developed in the Virtual Environment Labs at UT Arlington will be described. NOTE: This presentation is limited to 10 students.
Conversion of 2D CAD Drawings into Parametric 3D Models
The problem of legacy 2D drawings in the CAD world will be introduced. Present approaches to the conversion will be discussed. The technology developed at UT Arlington/Imagecom will be described that converts 2D CAD drawings semi-automatically will be discussed. A demowill be provided.
