ARLINGTON–The Gallery at The University of Texas at Arlington is pleased to present “Silver: 25th Anniversary Exhibition" curated by Benito Huerta.

Now, to commemorate its 25th anniversary, The Gallery at UTA presents this celebratory exhibition featuring twenty-five nationally and internationally respected artists representing the nearly 500 previous exhibiting artists who have played an important role in the history of the gallery.

As Benito Huerta, curator of the exhibition and director of The Gallery since 1997 states,

“The selection process…began by reconstructing the exhibition history -- no minor task. We examined the list of artists who had exhibited here and selected ones who were included in multiple exhibitions under different directors. Others were selected because they were fairly new on the art scene when they were originally shown here, but are now making an impact on a national level.

This anniversary exhibition is an important milestone not only for the gallery but also for the art community in North Texas. We celebrate this time, this gallery and all who have participated in this endeavor - in creating our history.”
