Galina P. Nestell, Ph.D., 1990, All Russian Geological Research Institute, St. Petersburg, Russia

Over the last 15 years my research has focused on the taxonomy and paleobiogeography of foraminifers of Middle-Late Permian and Triassic strata in the Crimea, Trans-Caucasus, and Volga River areas of present day Russia, Azerbaijan and the Ukraine. For the past 7 years I have also been working on foraminifers with Merlynd Nestell from the North Caucasus, Greece, Ukraine, and West Texas. Recently, I have been working on recently discovered foraminifers from Lower Ordovician strata in the St. Petersburg, Russia area and am currently describing this material.
