Dr. Gloria Eisenstadt is a Senior Research Scientist and Adjunct
Professor at the Geology Department, University of Texas at Arlington. She
is currently combining structural consulting work for E&P companies
with research and teaching duties at the University. Dr. Eisenstadt’s
main areas of research are inversion structures, the use of physical
models to understand structural deformation, seismic interpretation of
complex structures, and cross section balancing. In addition to her
university teaching, she offers several courses in topics related to
structural geology and seismic interpretation to the oil industry.
Dr. Eisenstadt worked at Mobil Technology Company for 11 years as an
international structural consultant, researcher, and technical teacher.
She received her Ph.D. from The Johns Hopkins University in 1990 where she
studied the structural evolution of the Innuitian Fold Belt in Ellesmere
Island, Arctic Canada.
