Valerie began her work in higher education as a student at Hamline University working with its Continuing Studies Program and Summer Literacy Institute. After working in both the private and not-for-profit sector, and most recently in development for the American Red Cross, Dallas Area Chapter, Valerie is thrilled to be working for higher education again serving the College of Engineering as Assistant Director of Development. Valerie is a native Minnesotan and graduated from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota with a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and a minor in Dance. She is a provisional member of the Junior League of Arlington and enjoys cooking, gardening, listening to jazz, and spending time with friends and family.
