Private philanthropic support at UT Arlington is growing exponentially. Over the past two years, we have averaged $15 million per year in gifts and pledges. That’s more than double the average annual total for the decade prior to these record years. Leading the way is the Office of Development, whose staff guides the fundraising initiatives for the University as a whole and for each of our colleges and schools. These seasoned professionals exhibit extraordinary leadership in securing support for the University’s philanthropic priorities.
In partnership with the Development Staff, the UT Arlington Development Board promotes philanthropic support to help the University advance its mission of becoming a nationally recognized research institution. Board members represent a wide variety of University constituencies, including alumni, corporate executives, and community leaders. They are called on to lend their expertise and perspective in helping shape UT Arlington’s strategic vision.
Development Board members are committed to promoting UT Arlington in the community, increasing awareness of programs, providing guidance to senior leadership, and fostering a culture of philanthropy. Members also add value to our efforts to reach out to alumni, business and industry, foundations, and friends of the University.
