Real World Application
Marketing Research graduate student Perla Molina credits the business program with exposing her to innovative marketing techniques. “I have had the opportunity to incorporate my knowledge in some of my work, which is always an eye opener,” she said. “My knowledge base has grown exponentially since I began the program.” Molina has been mentored by a faculty dedicated not only to preparing students for their first job after graduation but for a lifetime of success in their chosen field.
The Goolsby Leadership Academy, which was established in 2003, also primes students for success. The academy is committed to student education, scholarly research, and the engagement of executive practitioners into the life of the university. Corporations and individuals participate directly in the growth and development of the existing and future workforce. Partners benefit from extensive leadership research for corporate training, provide feedback on industry needs, and recruit from the University's best and brightest students. Additionally, Academy faculty hold professional certifications, have years of experience in the business world, and actively engage in research that puts them at the forefront of discovering new knowledge.
