Study Abroad Scholarships Available for Undergraduate Business
Thanks to a generous gift from Dr. Jacqualyn Fouse, the college is able to offer scholarships to support a study abroad experience for undergraduate students. While this gift is focused on students majoring in international business and the Goolsby Leadership Academy, any qualified College of Business student is eligible to apply.
Starting this summer, students are encouraged to apply for funds to study abroad for a long semester or summer term. Join an existing (UT Arlington-led) study abroad trip, or arrange an individual exchange with one of our many educational partners via the Office of International Education. Goolsby Scholars will take a senior class trip in mid-May 2016, coordinated through the Office of International Education.
The scholarship will support the cost of round trip transportation and lodging during the study abroad experience. Each student who is majoring in international business with a GPA greater than 2.5 and in good standing is eligible. You must be traveling to a country where they speak the language you are specializing in, and there are constraints on exactly which classes you may take while overseas. Details about the scholarship and the scholarship application are available on the Business Undergraduate Advising Forms and Resources webpage.
Attend an information session July 16, 12:30-1:30 p.m. in Business Building, Room 142 to learn about the scholarship in more detail. Additional information sessions will be held throughout the year.
The hope is that this generous gift will enable and encourage students to experience study abroad during their time at UT Arlington.
