CALL FOR PAPERS


     Submissions of scholarly papers, organized panels, creative work and multi-media presentations are invited for the 6th Annual Gorgias National Conference. We welcome topics across the humanities, but special emphasis will be placed upon works dealing with the theory and practice of rhetoric and its relationship to the rest of the humanities. Presentations that utilize computer classrooms are especially welcome, as are works that explore the theme of interdisciplinarity within the humanities. Other possible topics include:

Internet Culture, Information Technologies and Virtual Rhetorics -- Translation Studies -- Anthropology -- Art History Cultural Studies -- Feminist Theory -- Classics -- Semiotics -- Literary Theory -- Creative Writing -- Composition Historiography -- Gender Studies -- Linguistics -- Philosophy -- Film Studies -- Performance Studies -- Music Media Studies -- Social Theory -- Political Science -- Psychoanalytic Theory -- Pedagogy

     Individual talks will be limited to twenty minutes. Panels will run for one hour and fifteen minutes. To submit for presentation, send the following information: Name, University, Address, Phone, Email, Title of Presentation (Panel or Individual), Half-Page Abstract, Media Requirements.
