Wordmark
There are two different ways to refer to the University by name:
The full name wordmark is a graphic representation of the words “The University of Texas ARLINGTON”.
These words may only be used as an image, not as text, using an approved wordmark file.
A shortened version is “UT ARLINGTON” in capital letters.
Follow these rules for using either version of the wordmark:
- The wordmark font should be used only for the name of the University. It should not be used for the name of any college, school, office, department, center, program or other unit on campus.
- All versions must be reproduced without modification.
- The wordmark must include the“™”symbol.
- The wordmark may be presented with the same color variations as the institutional logo.
- The wordmark is not to be used alone in conjunction with the Mascot.
“The University of Texas at Arlington” is text, not a wordmark.
As text, the University may be referred to by its full and complete official name – “The University of Texas at Arlington” – or by “UT Arlington” using any font except the font used in the wordmark. Do not refer to the University in text as “The University of Texas Arlington”. Please see the Editorial Guidelines for guidance in using text to refer to the University.
