UTA Health Services PharmacyThe HS Pharmacy has been staffed by a registered pharmacist since 1982. Our goal is to provide affordable, convenient and accessible pharmacy services to the campus community. We service enrolled students and their dependents, faculty/staff and alumni.
We are not open on the weekends; however, if necessary we can leave a prescription refill to be picked up from the nurse's station during Saturday Clinic or between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m. on weekdays.
Prescription counseling is probably one of the most important services we provide to our patients. We inform each patient about their new prescription(s), including what the medication is used for, side effects to expect, and how to take the medication properly.
 Health Services Pharmacy
Many of our medications are purchased at a state-contracted
rate and we fully utilize less expensive, generic medications whenever
possible. Therefore, our prices are usually lower than outside pharmacies
and we pass the savings on to our patients.
Since our pharmacy is small and the population we serve is somewhat unique, we do not stock as many medications as many outside pharmacies would. If we do not have the medication our patients need, we may be able to order it and have it available within a few days. These situations are always handled on a case-by-case basis.
We also stock a variety of non-prescription and over-the-counter products such as pain relievers, cough and cold remedies, vitamins, antacids, laxatives, topical skin care medications, feminine hygiene products, band-aids and wound-care supplies.
