New History course numbering system coming in Fall 2019

Thursday, Mar 28, 2019

The UTA History Department is pleased to announce that we will be making changes to our undergraduate course numbering system effective in Fall 2019. These changes are intended to give students a better sense of the “bigger picture” while helping those who browse the catalog identify more quickly courses sharing related themes or subjects.

Existing degree plans will not be affected by these changes so students who are nearing completion of a major or minor need not worry. All students who have already declared as History majors will be able to continue under their existing degree plan. The number of courses required to complete a degree remains the same. We believe these changes will make things clearer for all students at UTA, and have developed handy resources to help everyone navigate the new course catalog.
