The Department of History offers UTA students a wide variety of courses and programs to chose from, including three separate B.A. degree plans and six different minor options.
The M. A. Program in History at UTA is specifically designed to meet the needs of students from a variety of backgrounds and with many different career goals. The Department offers graduate courses in United States, European, African, Latin American, Transatlantic, Transnational, and Comparative history. Our large program is led by top-notch faculty, and includes students just out of college as well as those returning to retool for new careers.
In addition to offering a wide array of courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, the Department is actively engaged in scholarly initiatives and public programs intended to serve the UTA campus and DFW metroplex as well as regional and national audiences.
In a department that offers three bachelor's degrees, numerous minor options, a rigorous M.A. degree, as well as a Ph.D. in Transatlantic History, we have a lot to talk about.
