M.A.

Assistantships

The UTA Department of History is only able to offer limited support for M.A. students. When available, this support includes:

Graduate Teaching Assistantships

Graduate Teaching Assistantships are occassionally available for students who are pursuing the Masters degrees in History at UTA. These positions entail assisting instructors in entry-level undergraduate courses. GTA positions are awarded based on the academic record of applicants.

Graduate Research Assistantships

A small number of Graduate Research Assistantships may be available to graduate students who help with research in Transatlantic Studies and with publication of a cartographic history journal.

In addition, the George Wolfskill Award annually recognizes student academic excellence in the M. A. History program.

The College of Liberal Arts offers some scholarship support for graduate study. Visit the College's scholarship page to learn more.
