Kultur als Erfolgsfaktor im M&A-Prozess? Eine Analyse anhand der Fusion DaimlerChrysler

As the number of international Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) rises,  correctly dealing with cultural problems becomes a key success factor for M&As. In an international M&A process, national as well as organizational cultures have to be considered by the coporations. This paper was motivated by the following research question: Which cross-cultural training is the most appropriate for an international M&A? The objective is to analyze cultural problems which arise in M&As by using a qualitative content analysis method. Therefore categories such as communication have to be developed and the material has to be analyzed by focusing on these categories.
