UTA Mavericks vs. University of Oklahoma Sooners

It’s a showdown for the ages when the Mavericks take on the University of Oklahoma at College Park Center. Gather your friends, fill the seats with blue and orange, cheer loud enough to make the ground shake, and show visiting Sooner fans who truly rules the court.

Halftime belongs to the Homecoming queen and king and their courts. Then, we’ve got some more entertainment that will amp you up for the final half of the battle between the Mavs and the Sooners.

Afterparty and Fireworks

Immediately after the game until 11 p.m.
Moritz Plaza and beyond

After the Mavs finish off the Sooners, step out of College Park Center and into our newest Homecoming tradition, The Afterparty. Moritz Plaza will be transformed into a good time crafted for you and thousands of your closest friends. A live band will be rocking on the plaza, while video screens lining the area will keep the action rolling as the party heats up. We’ll also have a variety of food and beer and beverage tents. Whether you’re a dancer or a tap-your-footer, or someone who just likes to sit back with friends and enjoy the scene, all are welcome.

At around 9:45, be sure to look up. A dazzling fireworks display set to music will take the party skyward for a bit. When the show has concluded, mill about and take a stroll through music-filled air. College Park District restaurants will be open to provide late-night bites and a place for you and your friends to kick back and hang out.
