Honors Study Abroad : Scotland 2004
Join other UTA students and Professors Karl Petruso and Andrew Quicksall for Study Abroad in Scotland, Summer II, 2004.
Experience the pleasure of living and learning in an international setting, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Hilights of the program include:
  • Receive 6 hours in UTA transfer credit.
  • Team-taught by Karl Petruso (Anthropology) and Andrew Quicksall (Honors).
  • Sites to be studied include include: Major Stone Age, megalithic, Celtic, Roman and Pictish monuments in the Lowlands, Highlands, Orkneys and the Hebrides.

Program Dates: June 30 - July 19, 2004 (5-week Summer II semester)
(Note: This course overlaps the end of the Summer I and the beginning of the Summer II semesters)
Program Cost: All students must submit a deposit of $521, due by February 27th. Honors College students are covered by scholarships; for non-Honors College students the fee is $2500.
Courses: ANTH 4322: Archaeology in Scotland, GEOL 3313: Natural History of Scotland. All students pay UTA tuition and applicable fees.

Interest Sessions: February 5 at 4 pm; February 18 at noon; February 24 at 5:00 pm in the Carolyn Barros Reading Room, Honors College (College Hall)
Orientation Sessions: Two, in May 2004 (dates and times TBA)
