The due date for academic year 2012-13 is April 6, 2012.
The Advanced Placement Institute Future Teachers Scholarship was established in 2010 to recognize the dedication and outstanding contributions Advanced Placement teachers have made to middle and high school education. For academic year 2011-12, one award will be made in the amount of $1500. To be eligible, a student must:
- have a clear desire to teach middle school or high school;
- be an active member of the UT Arlington Honors College;
- be in good academic standing with the University and the Honors College;
- be an undergraduate in the junior or senior year at the time the scholarship is awarded; and
- be enrolled as a full-time student during the term of the scholarship.
Honors students majoring in all disciplines are eligible to apply for this scholarship. A complete application consists of the following: application and relationship certification form; current official transcript showing all grades earned in college at all institutions attended; a current résumé; and an essay (see the application for instructions).
The Advanced Placement Future Teachers Scholarship is stackable with other major UT Arlington scholarships.
